Find out below how our paper is sustainable.

6 short facts

Paper production is not bad for forests
The paper industry does not use tropical wood, but mainly utilizes by-products from the forest and sawmills.
Paper as a natural product
Did you know that... the European paper industry is the world leader in processing sustainably mined raw materials, renewable energy the use of recycled material? For example, 1500 additional soccer fields of forest are planted every day in Europe.
The area of European forests is growing
Between 2005 and 2015, European forests grew by an area larger than Switzerland.
72% of the paper is recycled
In Europe, we recycle 72% of the paper. Paper can be reused 6 to 7 times.
More than 60% of European forests FSC or PEFC certified
This is a "diploma" for forest management. These forests are managed sustainably, leading to healthy forests that absorb a lot of CO². A young forest absorbs 5 times more CO² than an old forest!
Conclusion: textbook circular industry
In part due to a recycling rate of 72%, the paper industry has become a model of circular economy.
